Winx Season 8 Fan Art: “Light of Gorgol” Screenshot Redraw

Surprise! Another fan art commission! Remember Aisha and Nex’s romantic scene at the end of “The Light of Gorgol” (Winx season 8, episode 9)?

Of course you do. ? After a harrowing adventure together, the couple stood on the dock hand in hand.

“Nice speech,” said the Paladin — er, Specialist.

“Thanks,” said the fairy. “And thanks…for helping me when I needed you.”

“Remember: I’ll always be there for you” — he grinned and added — “even when you don’t want me to be.”

The fairy nodded and beamed at him. Yes, she didn’t have to solve her problems alone. She could share her burdens with him, and he’d always be ready to be a pillar for her.

As the setting sun framed them in gold, they…stared at each other.

Oh, c’mon, Rainbow! This scene was begging for a kiss! ?

Well, thanks to PirateHearts (www.deviantart.com/piratehearts), it finally has one. Here it is:

Much better! ?

By the way, this is the same artist who drew the Valentine’s Day fan art of Aisha and Nex holding cupcakes. I liked how well they imitated the original Winx art style. It’s not perfect, but at least Aisha and Nex look like young adults.

Wanna see another version of this scene? I commissioned a similar piece in semi-realistic style a couple years ago from an amazing artist named J-Witless. Check it out here.

As I said last time, I’m not planning to post fan art only from now on. I’m working on other content, including videos for my new YouTube channel.

Meanwhile, I’ve added this piece to the Aisha/Nex commissioned fan art page. Visit to see more art of this Winx couple and their daughter, Renata.

Wildly off topic, but I wanted to share: for school I have to write a 7-9 page research paper. Because I have no better ideas, I’m going to compare Winx Club and Fate: The Winx Saga. In other words, I’m going to rant about Fate for 7 pages and get to turn it in for credit as an academic essay.

This is going to be fun.
