Winx Season 8: Does Nex Become a Specialist?
I don’t have any pictures of Nex from Winx season eight, but I’ve seen the clips and info the Winx fandom posted about the first episode. The Winx meet up with the guys at Redfountain. (It’s been a while since we’ve seen that place.) Nex is there, too. And all the guys, including him, have the same new uniform, each in a different color.
Does this mean he’s a Specialist now? If so, I have mixed feelings.
On one hand, I liked that he wasn’t just another Specialist. It’s part of what made him unique. Also, I’m gonna miss his Paladin uniform. I liked it more than any uniform the Specialists have worn. (That’s right. I didn’t like their uniform from seasons 1-5, either.)
On the other hand, I think this change is good for him. There’s a downside to standing out: you look like you don’t belong. Now Nex fits in with his new squad.
Also, let’s face it: Paladins weren’t much different from Specialists. I still think the reason Rainbow created (or redefined) the Paladin class was so Nex could wear red instead of blue. His season eight uniform is red, too, so I think that proves me right.
By the way, I have a new theory on why red is Nex’s color. I thought it was to contrast with Aisha’s blue and green color scheme, but that might have been a happy accident. The main reason may have to do with Nex himself.
How do you feel about Nex possibly being a Specialist now?
well i think it will potentially add a new dynamic to the specialists
I agree. Nex has a unique personality. I just hope Rainbow does enough to prove once and for all that he’s not like Riven.
My thoughts on this are similar to yours – sort of mixed – but I can get used to this idea. Since I’m terribly out of the loop, do you know where I could find the season eight info you mentioned? Is it on Michael’s Winx or somewhere else?
The clips are on YouTube, if they haven’t been taken down already. WinxPocketNews and Winx Luci e Ombre probably have the most information, since they’re Italian forums. But I think Winx Wiki has it, too.
