Winx Season 8 Has Two Episodes Centered on Aisha and Nex
We already knew Winx season eight would have a Sirenix arc — apparently, Sirenix was popular — but here’s a surprise: the story focuses on Aisha and Nex! Rainbow didn’t hide it, either. They even used a screenshot of them in one of their advertisements on Facebook!
The caption read (translated by Winx Wiki):
So many emotions today on Andros! ? Hold on for the new mission against Obscurum and, for the most romantic fairies, there will be many super tender moments between Aisha and Nex. The appointment is on Rai Yoyo. ⭐?
It felt like Rainbow put their foot down and said, “Aisha and Nex will stay together. Period.” I’m so relieved! Thank you! ?
Summary of the Sirenix Arc
I won’t spoil the episodes too much — you can watch them here and here — but here’s the gist of the plot.
Aisha is nervous because she’s about to give a speech for the anniversary of Andros. (Eraklyon had their millennium anniversary in Winx season three, so why not?) As the princess, she wants to make her parents and her people proud. Nex and the Winx support her as much as they can, but she fumbles through the speech anyway. Poor Aisha. ?
Things get worse when Gorgol, the marine star of Andros, is attacked by Valtor’s sidekick Obscurum. The Winx transform into neo-Sirenix fairies — I’m waiting for the English dub to figure out how — and alongside Nex, they go underwater to save the star. Naturally, they face a lot of dangers along the way.
These episodes are packed with beautiful Aisha and Nex moments! ❤️ I don’t know where to begin talking about them! For now, I’ll just share some screenshots. (See more here.)
Did these episodes change the Winx fandom’s negative opinion of Aisha and Nex? I don’t know. My instinct tells me no. But since most Winx fans don’t speak Italian, we might have to wait until season eight premieres in other languages before we determine the episodes’ effect.
Here are a couple positive signs. The aisha.and.nex Instagram page has gotten a few more followers in the last few days. Plus, this blog got a lot of referrals from Instagram yesterday, which means more people visited the page. Again, we’ll have to see what happens after season eight premieres in other languages.
If you’ve watched these episodes, what do you think of them?
Yes please. I’m all in for romantic moments?. I hope we get more.
I have yet to watch Winx season 8. I have been busy fighting against pedophiles on Twitter lately (I’m all alone in that battle…so much so that I am getting harassed by the pedos and no-one from the so-called “pedo-hunters” is standing by me, although I do their freaking job and expose those who sexualize underage kids).
And of course, I can’t even talk about Winx with anyone on Twitter because nobody from my followers list is active.
But at least it looks better with Layla and Nex, so that’s one positive aspect.
I’ve seen people cheering for them (including me!) but i’ve also seen alot of people make
comments, like ”Nabu was better. He was so sweet to Aisha”
like is Nex not? ? And that sort of stuff again.
That’s not surprising. To those people, Nex will never be sweet enough. They’re too stuck in the past to let Nabu go and let Aisha be happy with someone else. Those fans are probably a lost cause at this point. The good news is 1) Rainbow isn’t caving in to them, and 2) more people are starting to support Aisha and Nex.
In fact, I’d love to hear some of the positive comments you’ve found. Let’s highlight those instead of the complaints.
Sorry for the late reply.
Here are some i found:
“Nabu is death, yeah they were good couple, but i love seeing Aisha so happy again with Nex!”
“I like Nex much more than Roy. He has more or something. More depth, more personality, I don’t know exactly. Roy just felt as if he had been created in a hurry to fill a gap (from Nabu). I also don’t really understand why people like Riven, and not Nex!”
“Nex and Layla are so sweet in Season 8!!”
“ The is almost the cutest and romantic moments in all the series” (The scene were holding each other on the ground in the Light Gorgol).
“People should know nabu is dead! We all loved nabu but aisha has moved on. It’s not like he’s going to come back. People says nex is like riven but that’s NOT TRUE!”
“My heart is so full, I love that @winxclub gave Aisha and Nex a proper episode in this season!”
A lot of these look familiar. I’m so happy to see positive comments for a change, but I wonder if there are more.
