Hiding Reality
Note: this is about Wikipedia, not Winx Wiki.
Sorry. I was only gonna post an “Um, Actually” today, but then I saw this.
Neither the main Winx Club page nor the season six page mention Nex at all. The main page mentions Nabu and Roy as Aisha’s love interests, and Nabu is also on the seasons three and four pages. But Nex? Nowhere.
Oh, wait. He’s at least on the character page. But while Nabu and Roy get long, glowing descriptions — Roy’s is ten times longer than his official description — Nex’s is bare-bones and, as usual, shoehorns Nabu in:
A friend of Thoren. He has fair skin tone, gray hair and light brown eyes. He and Aisha start to feel attracted to each other in Season 6. His weapon is the Halberd of the Wind. In Season 7, Nex becomes Aisha’s boyfriend in Nabu’s place due to his untimely presumed death in Season 4. He is voiced by Adam Gregory in the Nickelodeon English dub.
“In Nabu’s place”? “Untimely presumed death“? Ugh! Make it stop, please! ?
Anyway, this might be the worst example yet of the Winx fandom ignoring Aisha and Nex. Wikipedia is for everyone, not just fandoms. People who have never seen Winx Club read these pages, too, but they’re not getting accurate, up-to-date information about Aisha’s story.
Do I sound angry? I am — not enraged, but hurt, frustrated, and in disbelief. It’s one thing for the Winx fandom to twist the truth to fit their personal feelings and fantasies. But it’s another thing to hide facts from people who haven’t even formed opinions yet.
I’ve had it with this fandom. Aisha and Nex deserve better than them.
hmm wikipedia is not a reliable source since it is easy to alter but let’s just say i may have solved that issue if you take a look at the nex piece now 😉

Yeah, Wikipedia is easy to alter, but that also means it was easy for someone to write about Nex in the first place. The fact that no one has bothered to in the last four to five years is what angers me. It suggests the fandom has been deliberately not mentioning him.
well yeah that is annoying since its likely the inability of some people who watched season 4 nearly 10 years ago who haven’t moved on from the episode that probably made children cry i suspect
It did, but that was 10 years ago. A decade. A generation. The fact that some people are still unable to let it go is unbelievable. I know I’m not the same person I was 10 years ago. Sometimes, I wonder if they still are.

I’m tempted to replace Nex’s Wikipedia description with his official one. That way, I’m not inserting my own feelings into it, it’s more informative, and it’s still correct.

I just had a thought. On the main page, it’s probably better not to mention any of Aisha’s love interests. Nex isn’t there, which right now makes it seem like she’s with Roy. But by mentioning either of them, it gives away that she’s not with Nabu anymore. But if you only mention Nabu, then it looks like she’s still with him.
So there are only two good options: mention all three guys but acknowledge that Nabu is dead, or don’t mention any of the guys.
