Winx Fan Art: Happy Birthday, Aisha! (2020)

It’s June 15, which means…it’s Aisha’s birthday! ?????

I commissioned fan art for Nex’s birthday, so it was only fair to commission something for Aisha, too. It was painted by AkubakaArts (, who also made the “Golden Sunset” (a.k.a. “Welcome to Andros”) piece. Here it is:

Isn’t it gorgeous? AkubakaArts has such a unique style. I love how colorful and whimsical her art is.

I realized the two birthday pictures I commissioned fit Aisha and Nex’s personalities. Nex is more social than Aisha, so he threw a party for her with a lot of people…er, Pixies. Aisha, on the other hand, planned something more intimate — just the two of them (and a giant cake).

You recognize their outfits, right? Aisha’s wearing the emoji shirt she debuted near the end of “Valtor’s Shadow” (Winx season 8, episode 13). And Nex is, of course, in his royal attire from the first Sirenix arc. I thought those outfits might look good together, even though one is casual and the other’s formal. ?

Anyway, Happy Birthday to our awesome Fairy of Waves!

I’ve added this piece to the Aisha/Nex commissioned fan art page. Check it out to see more art of this Winx couple (and their daughter ?).

I love the background, it’s so fantasy-esque! Really good job to the artist! ?

I’m glad I found this website! There’s not enough Next appreciation out there. If I’m being honest, at first I didn’t like Nex too much cuz I thought his character was just a random addition but he really grew on me. And I absolutely adored him in seasons 7 and 8.

[…] Sure. Nothing in the magazines is canon, anyway. But why now? Her birthday was in June! […]
