4 Things Rainbow Should Make For Aisha and Nex
In the first four seasons of Winx Club, Rainbow promoted the couples a lot more than they do now. Unfortunately, Aisha and Nex got together after that era. They missed out on having their own merchandise and artwork like the other couples have. ?
Here are four things I wish Rainbow would make for Aisha and Nex.
1. Stock Art
Aisha and Nex have no official stock art of the two of them together. They only have separate images. Granted, she actually has no stock art with any of her love interests. If Rainbow made art of her and Nex, it would help solidify their relationship.
2. Storybooks
So far, La Leggenda di Eraklyon (The Legend of Eraklyon) is the only Winx storybook that features Aisha and Nex as a couple. But the plot isn’t about them. I want Aisha/Nex-themed storybooks. The other Winx couples have books about them, after all.
3. A Kiss Scene!
I’m still mad about Squonk blocking Aisha and Nex’s kiss in Winx season seven. Seriously, Rainbow? Why can’t you let them have one romantic moment? Worse, you didn’t give them a chance to make up for it later in the season.
This couple needs to kiss at least once in season eight. I’m sad we’ll never see it happen in the original art style, but it is what it is.
4. Comics
I love “La Prova di Nex” (Nex’s Test), but it’s several years old now. I want more Aisha/Nex comics. How about a sequel? Or an adventure that shows Aisha is afraid to lose him? That would definitely tie into her story.
I doubt it’ll happen, though. Nowadays, none of the guys appear in the comics much. February is often the exception, but it tends to be reserved for Bloom and Sky, the so-called “most beautiful couple ever”. ? (To be fair, “La Prova di Nex” was a February comic, so Rainbow doesn’t always focus on The Royal Couple.)
Final Thoughts
I think Rainbow hasn’t promoted Aisha and Nex much because it would spoil Nabu’s death and the result of the season six love triangle. The same thing happened after Musa and Riven broke up. Rainbow was careful not to mention it, since some countries hadn’t seen season six.
But since season eight has a new art style, I’m hoping Rainbow will treat it — and anything afterwards — like a new series. Maybe they’ll reintroduce the characters (and couples) to us with new stock art and new merchandise. If so, I hope Aisha and Nex will finally be promoted more.
To look on the positive side, it’s good that Rainbow is treating Aisha and Nex the same as the other couples (except for Bloom and Sky). However, the other couples aren’t getting treated very well, either.
That’s because they still believe Nabu’s in a coma or a some sort magical sleep ?

people that were so extremely stubborn like the fandom.

Yeah, it makes no sense for people to believe he’s in a coma, yet can be reincarnated. ?

Canonically, yes, but people refuse to believe it. In fact, some fans think he was originally in a coma, but Nickelodeon changed it to a death. That’s also not true if you look at all the evidence before Rainbow partnered with them.
I was working on a post for Una di Noi Winx that debunked the coma theory, but I never finished it because…well, you can imagine what the response would have been.

I guess you’re right. Although, I feel like Rainbow has done well with Tecna and Timmy in recent seasons (ignoring the slight retcon of their relationship in season five). I just wish the writers would focus on Aisha and Nex more now, since they’re the newest couple. They need the most promotion and development.

Well, I wouldn’t put too much stock into it. People also thought Roy was the reincarnation of Nabu, especially since he had Nabu’s tattoo on his hand. I doubt Rainbow would do something that stupid, anyway. They are paying a lot of attention to Orion for some reason, though.

I don’t know. ? Everything is always about him. If a character looks like Nabu, it’s him or his reincarnation. If there’s a plot point related to the past, it must be about bringing him back to life. And it’s been this way for almost ten years!
I’m so tired of this character now. I used to like him, but now I can’t stand to see his name. It wouldn’t even make sense to bring him back now because the youngest fans, who Rainbow is catering to now, wouldn’t even know who he is! Think about that. There are fans watching this show right now who were born after Nabu’s death!
Now I get that this is an anniversary season, so a lot of old characters are coming back. But most of them will disappear again after this season. This is a one-season gimmick. But permanently bringing back an old love interest would be a confusing change for younger fans.
Riven’s return is different because he hasn’t been gone long. It was at the end of season six that he and Musa broke up, and she briefly mentioned him in season seven. The younger fans would still remember him. Plus…he didn’t die! And Musa is still single!
