Trying To Be Positive
I’m sorry a lot of my recent posts have been negative and critical. I’m just sad, frustrated, and disappointed. When other people hate something you love with all your heart, it hurts. It hurts like crazy.
I know that’s life. Believe me, I don’t expect everyone to love what I love. In fact, when I meet someone, I expect them not to love what I love, so I don’t even bring it up.
But to repeat what I said on my other blog: in a fandom, it makes sense to expect to find people who love what you love. After all, that’s why a fandom exists. You’re together only because you share a common interest: the show/movie/book/etc. that you’re fans of. Why wouldn’t you think some of them would be interested in specific aspects you love?
For the last three or four years, I’ve felt like I’m the only Winx fan who loves Aisha and Nex. I know it’s not true, but it’s hard to believe it when the following is 95 percent of what I see online:
- Anti-Aisha/Nex or anti-Nex posts, comments, and videos
- “Best guy for Aisha?” polls on every single site over and over again
- Fanfics that shoehorn Nabu (and sometimes Roy) into the couple’s story or pair Nex with other characters
- Posts, galleries or polls about the guys that intentionally leave out Nex
- Posts, galleries or polls about the couples that intentionally leave out Aisha and Nex
How am I not supposed to feel lonely and out of place in the Winx fandom? Can you blame me for leaving?
I just want Aisha and Nex to be celebrated, too. I want tons of other Aisha/Nex fans to talk to. I wanna see lots of positive Aisha/Nex fan art, videos, fanfics, edits, posts, comments, and more.
I want what the fans of the other Winx couples get to enjoy. How is that wrong?
But I know it’s unlikely now. It may be too late for the Winx fandom to ever appreciate Aisha and Nex. The haters have won. ?
That’s why I made this blog. I want there to be at least one positive place for this couple. I’m sorry I haven’t done a good job keeping it that way, but I’ll try harder from now on.
I love Aisha and Nex. If you do, too, I hope you feel welcome here.
i feel welcome here cause honestly i’ve been thinking would Nex have been treated better if he was introduced say in season 2 or 3 or even season 1 or something
It would have been better if he had been introduced then. I’m sure the fandom would have been more accepting of him. There are more specific reasons, but I’m saving them for a post.

It says “14 comments”, yet I only see 9 (6 from Knight, 3 from Admin). However, I can see the last comment from Admin when clicking on the bell (in the top right corner).

Are the people on vk.com more open-minded towards Nex and Layla/Aisha? I have seen several ships on vk.com/Winx_srl (Ogron and Flora, Ogron and Nebula, Anagan and Gantlos…) but I haven’t exactly spent too much time there, mainly because I can’t speak Russian and Google translator sucks big time. Maybe there are some hidden gems of Nex and Aisha / Layla ?. Have you had any experiences with them before?
I would have to navigate through 22000 + fanarts and then 61000 + photos, as not all fanart is posted in the photo section (strange, I know). And since there is no way to save the site from the moment you have visited it the last time, nor a “since-until” filter to look for the posts from a specific date, I’d have to look for hours until I finally reach the last pic. I’ll look for them when I have more time…won’t happen before Christmas though. Maybe the day before New Year’s Eve, if nothing gets in my way.
I don’t expect to find much (or anything). However, the chance IS there and maybe there is some relevant pic of the couple in question between the thousands of different arts. It’s definitely worth a shot.
I’ve had a few VK accounts, so I would say no. They’re anti-Aisha X Nex, too. VK is yet another Nabu/Aisha X Nabu shrine. One popular page called Whore Winx (yes, that’s the real name) constantly posts Aisha X Nabu memes and edits, to the point where some fans there started to complain (surprisingly).
Someone on VK did make an Aisha X Nex page, but it doesn’t have many followers and hasn’t been updated in years. (Unfortunately, I’ve lost the link.) Other than that, I’ve seen hardly any Aisha X Nex content. I remember some negative content, like a long post about the season six love triangle where the author called Nex “a rebel” and said they’re not happy Aisha ended up with him. What little positive content there is gets slammed with hate comments, vomit emojis, and shouts of “Aisha and Nabu forever!” just like everywhere else online. ?
Long story short, the VK community is no better than the rest of the fandom.

Well, that sucks. I thought the Russians (or at least the site) might be different than the rest and more accepting towards the two. The wish was father to the thought there. ? Man, I really don’t know of any other sites. Honestly, vk.com/winx_srl was my last ace. Damn it.
I don’t know how much longer I’ll stick around on vk, by the way. If there wasn’t the language barrier, it would be a lot easier for me (and them). Google translator isn’t the best option and I doubt they wanna translate every tweet of mine into their language.
Well, don’t worry. We all feel you, and well, it may not be a lot but on this blog we all share pretty much the same opinion on the power couple. Stop caring about what others think! And remember, if there’s a thing that can make Winxers love this couple, it’s your blog! Anyway, since they do not have enough stories and arts I decided to learn digital drawing and, well, I always had a thing for writing so I may start a fan fiction. I know it’s not a lot, but it’s the least I can do to try to make people see the light in Life and Death. Anyway, great blog, keep it up!
