Winx Fan Art: Nex in His Paladin Uniform
Posted On September 25, 2020
Finally! Some literal fan art of Nex! It was painted by BlueBlood99 on DeviantArt (www.deviantart.com/blueblood99), who says he’s one of her favorite characters from Winx Club. ?

Looks great, but now I miss his Paladin uniform even more. ?
BlueBlood99 has more Winx fan art, including more of Nex. I’ll share some other pieces in the future. In the meantime, you can check them out in her gallery!
I’ve added this piece to the Aisha/Nex “Art by Winx fans” page. Seen any more fan art of this couple (alone or together)? Made some yourself? Let me know!
JESUS FINALLY NEX FANART!!! Kudos to the artist for doing him.
And it’s beautiful. I don’t know why but I like that style more than Season 6 one.
Offtopic, but on 2019 before the fiasco about people getting mad at S8 Enchantix (which after I left the fandom and Winx altogether) I planned to draw Nex himself or Aisha x Nex but the whole thing, and the toxic double standards literally demotivated me to do ANYTHING related to Winx. Funny how Enchantix got trilions of fanarts but one character had literally NONE. (Sorry for bringing up the overrated and not that well written power, but I’m just FLABBERGASTED by this. Rainbow SHOULDN’T make Flora say “it’s the final transformation” and make Enchantix that powerful. It should be just a fairy form proving that a fairy matured and is full fledged.)
But coming back to Nex topic now:
Aisha and Nex SHOULD HAVE MORE SPOTLIGHT because it would show what REAL HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP is like.
Kinda funny how people hate Nex while loving Riven (ARE Y’ALL SERIOUS?!) especially in the same world when people criticized the Reylo idea from Star Wars, meh. I’m not saying that people should bash Riven but it’s nonsense especially how he treated Musa, Bloom and Specialists. Nex NEVER wanted to “win at all costs”, tried to understand Aisha so hard, wanted to stay on her side even when she doesn’t need him (Season 8 episode 8) oh. And Nex is OPEN to other people while Riven was megarude and closed (yet SUDDENLY he opened to Nabu like an opened door on Water Stars arc!!)
I’ve seen a little Nex fan art over the years, but not much. This makes me wonder if there’s more I haven’t seen — I’m sure there is — but I don’t wanna look for it. Anytime you like for Nex or Aisha/Nex fan art, you find a lot of hate art or other stuff instead. ?
I loved Enchantix, but looking back on it, it was poorly written. The problem isn’t just that Rainbow called it “the final form”, then immediately retconned that. Enchantix as written doesn’t make sense. I may write a post about it one day.
Yes, I agree. I hope Rainbow will continue to highlight their relationship. But unfortunately, the Winx fandom will never give Aisha and Nex credit for how healthy their relationship is. Heck, the fandom doesn’t even treat it like an actual relationship. They still throw around half-hearted statements about how Nex makes Aisha happy or “well, Nabu’s dead, so she had to move on”.
I know the main problem is the fandom’s obsession with Nabu, but I think it’s also that people don’t appreciate second love. A lot of love stories, especially those aimed at children, are about first love and how intense and magical it is. “First love is true love” seems to be the message. In fact, before season four, it seemed like all the Winx would marry their first loves.
But second love doesn’t get enough attention in fiction. It’s not euphoric as first love — nothing is ever as exciting after the first time — but it’s often more mature and grounded. I think Aisha and Nex are a good example of second love, and I think we need more second love stories in cartoons and movies.
Yep, people don’t realize that the first love makes people excited just because it’s first experience like this but later their mindset eventually gets mature with time.
My problem about Enchantix being called “a final form” is that it confused fans to the point that they point this EVERYTIME the Winx gain a new fairy form, which I actually agree with. I mean, I LOVE how Winx still earn new forms, but when Flora called it “a final form” I was like “wait so if there was next seasons they could stay in that form, no new ones?”
I liked Enchantix too but wasn’t into the fairydust (and those needless scenes with Winx drawing symbols). Plus despite I was happy when Aisha could see again thanks to fairydust, something wasn’t right to me about Fairydust but some loong time ago I ran into someone calling Fairy Dust an “ex machina” and shockingly makes sense. At least Enchantix was better than Season 2’s Charmix, instead of Charmix Rainbow should just make the fairies’ inner power change/owerflow or something.
Exactly. Our brains love novelty. Anything we experience for the first time is intense and exciting.
In fact, that applies to relationships in general. Even if Aisha had married Nabu, the romance would have eventually faded as the novelty wore off. It happens to all couples, to the point where some believe they’ve fallen out of love with each other.
But feelings come and go, which is why love isn’t about feelings and happiness. It’s about being committed to one other, even when you can’t stand each other. Here’s one of my favorite images of what love really looks like: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-pI-pKAMYZNo/USZFfXRcxUI/AAAAAAAAAV4/bACTQaKAAbo/s1600/oldmanandoldwoman.jpg
I think Aisha and Nabu embodied the idealistic fantasy of love we have when we’re young, while Aisha and Nex represent more mature and realistic love.
As for Enchantix, I think Rainbow called it “the final form” because they planned to end the series there. There are signs that they didn’t originally plan to have any fairy forms, including Enchantix, but hey, they needed to sell more dolls. ?
But yes, I agree about the fairy dust. It’s one aspect of Enchantix that makes no sense. On top of being way too powerful — Deus Ex Machina is a good way to describe its use in the show — its existence begs the question, “Why is there evil in the Magic Dimension in the first place?” If there are a bunch of fairies in every realm who possess a magic dust that can break any dark spell, sorcerers like Valtor shouldn’t be able to come into power easily.
The whole Fairy Godmother/Guardian Fairy thing wasn’t explained well, either. What do Guardian Fairies do? How many are there? And again, if they all have fairy dust, why is there so much evil and darkness in the Magic Dimension?
Winx Club is a fun show, but it’s always had a lot of plot holes and flawed logic. That didn’t start in the later seasons.
“You remember your first love because they show you, prove to you, that you can love and be loved, that nothing in this world is deserved except for love, that love is both how you become a person, and why.”
– John Green, Turtles All The Way Down
About Enchantix and its final form bit I think I might have something that explains everything:

THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I literally HATE how people took the “Enchantix last fairy form” out of freaking context. Despite the original poster likes the transformation I personally hate, they’re a godsend to me. Finally someone who analyzed Enchantix in a PROPER WAY.
Also offtopic but I love how the Twitter person doesn’t bash people for liking season 5-6 and assuming that they haven’t watched the first seasons.. *cough* unlike someone from FB who even went as far to yell at ANYONE calling Magic Winx “Charmix” (seriously?! THIS little thing gets you triggerred? Also S2 Charmix was bad LMAO!!) to lie that “I haven’t watched seasons 1-4” which is a bullcrap because I knew Winx SINCE 2007 and since then I WAS FREAKING CRITICAL OF THINGS IN IT despite I loved Winx *cough* Jesus
The “Magic Winx” thing has always driven me nuts. The first form is not and has never been called “Magic Winx”. It didn’t have a name because at first the show wasn’t gonna have multiple fairy forms. (The evidence is all over the place if you look back at it.) So the first form was just “Fairy”.
“Magic Winx!” is just the Winx’s transformation trigger phrase, just like “Moon Cosmic Power!” or “Start! Precure Operation!” or whatever. That’s why the Winx still say it even though they’re not in their first forms anymore. It’s also why none of the other fairies say it because they’re not part of the Winx Club! Aisha didn’t say it either before she became a Winx. She said, “Magic Transform!”
I think retroactively calling the first form Charmix was a good idea. Personally, I also think the season two Charmix was lame and didn’t add anything to the show. Might as well repurpose that name for something that actually matters and call the second season accessory a “Charmix jewel“ or something.
Also, “charm” and “enchant” are synonyms, so calling the first form Charmix conveys the idea that Enchantix is an evolution of it. It’s similar to what Rainbow did with Dreamix and Onyrix.
