“Um, Actually…” #3: Find The Mistake
Welcome back to “Um, Actually”! You know the drill by now (I hope). The statement below in quote format has a mistake in it. It’s your job to find it and correct it using the phrase, “Um, actually…”
Today’s statement is about the Specialists and Paladins’ weapons:
In Winx season six, the Specialists and Paladins received magic weapons at the Lynphea College Arena. They’re based on elements and objects in nature, such as wind, earth, lightning, the sun, and the moon. Each weapon is completely different from the others with its own unique abilities. The guys each chose the weapon best suited to his strengths.
What’s wrong with this statement? Tell me in the comments, and don’t forget to start your correction with “Um, actually…” (By the way, it’s not how I spelled “Lynphea”. Blame Nick for that. ?)
umm actually In Winx season six, the Specialists and Paladins received magic weapons at the Lynphea College Arena. these weapons unleash the wild strength of nature Each weapon is completely different from the others with its own unique abilities. The guys each chose the weapon best suited to his strengths.
Your wording about how the weapons are related to nature makes more sense than mine, but that’s not the correction I’m looking for.
dang it but this came from season 6 ep 3 right?
Maybe… That may or may not help you, though. ?
well i know the first and last part are correct since they match up but the 2nd part just felt like it was the part that was wrong
Look closely. There’s something wrong, but it might not be obvious.
this one is trickier than usual
right so what happens if no-one gets it right?
I’ll just tell you the answer. ?
(I don’t think this is correct, but I’m just gonna throw it out anyway)
Um, actually, “based on elements in nature” isn’t the best wording to describe the powers of the weapons. They have the powers of certain elements, but not much else about their designs is based on them.
That’s technically right, and Knight pointed that out, too. My word choice here was bad, but that’s not the intended mistake. (This happens on the real show sometimes, too. ?)
