Aisha/Nex Instagram Edits #7: Warm Embraces
More Instagram edits! All of them use the same two PNGs, one from comic #131: “La Prova di Nex” (Nex’s Test) and the other from “New Magic Harmony” (Winx Club season 7, episode 25):
I’ve got some more PNGs from seasons six and seven that you can use.
Here’s the next batch of edits that I made!
A Place For Us

Let’s find a place where we can be everything that we want to be.
A few years ago, I was already starting to feel like Aisha and Nex will never get the appreciation they deserve from the Winx fandom. “What if this couple had been part of a different story?” I thought. That was the inspiration for the edit.
Now, I’m sure these two are in the wrong story. But I’ve talked about that before, so I won’t rant about it again right now.
Imagination

Imagination is the bridge between what is and what could be. It is everything.
— Dalton Frey
No couple in Winx Club has ever ignited my imagination as much as Aisha and Nex do. I’ve come up with so many story ideas for developing their relationship and their individual characters. But the Winx fandom doesn’t care. In all their fanfics, Aisha and Nex either break up or are dating/married to other people. If Aisha and Nex are still together, the writer either shoehorns Nabu in (or sometimes Roy), or the story is a next-gen, so it just skips over the couple’s relationship.
Why does the fandom’s imagination dry up when it comes to this couple? There’s so much material to work with, too! Why can’t they see it? Or are they just ignoring it? ?
Sorry for being negative again. Let’s end on a happy note.
My Favorite Place

My favorite place is inside your hug.
Dance With Me

I’m so happy when you dance with me.
Enough said. I love watching these two dance together. ?

the Instagram edits are really good 🙂
Thank you! ?
adding onto the bit about Darkar that is why i chose the shadow phoenix as the main villain of my winx fic cause there is a logical reason for it returning
Yeah, he’s the most logical choice story-wise for a returning villain. Valtor was dead. Period.
yeah and i figured that since the phoenix is the embodiment of pure evil so i thought why not show how deadly the phoenix can truly be
X-Men fans would know, since Jean Grey is one of the strongest forces in the Marvel universe. And while Jean is a good-hearted person, the Phoenix power inside of her corrupts and turns her into a murdering psychopath (similar to how Dark Bloom would have been had Sky not stopped her). I feel like you and Tori should write season 8.
you really think that when i plan to have the phoenix commit planetary demolition by destroying lumeria and be responsible for the death of over 100 million people before he’s stopped
Sure. That would make the Winx season more suspenseful.
yeah but what would the winx only being able to save 100,000 out of the 7.2 million inhabitants show the viewer?
Indeed, knight. Valtor was killed. Darker too but he was a phoenix, so he could revive at some point. I’d rather see the Dark Lord back to be honest. And season 2 is older than season 3, so if Rainbow wants the nostalgia route, go for the villain that has not appeared since 2005/2006. Besides, we already have a season 3 reference with Enchantix…shouldn’t we get something for season 2 as well then (seasons 1 and 4 also)?
I agree. Darkar would have made the most sense plot-wise. Technically, he can never die because light can’t exist without darkness.
Heck, he even would have fit in better with season eight’s story. Valtor is trying to snuff out all the light in the Magic Dimension. But if Darkar is the embodiment of darkness and the absolute opposite of the Dragon Flame, which created the Magic Universe, doesn’t that seem more like something he would do? His name has the word “dark” in it, for crying out loud!
But Rainbow picked Valtor just because he was the most popular villain. That’s what happens when you pander to the fans instead of thinking about what works best for your story.
Absolutely agree. Darkar is the most nihilistic villain the Winx had, so him turning the Magic Dimension into a Dark Dimension -kind of like Dormammu’s plan in Marvel’s Doctor Strange 2016- would make the most sense. Valtor wanted to rule the Dimension (as shown when he went to different planets and stealing the magical powers/artefacts), while Darkar wanted to destroy/corrupt it first and foremost and then rule over it with Dark Bloom by his side (what a life…only two people remaining alive and ruling over fire and ashes). I mean, I like Valtor too but he died. Only time traveling to the point before his death and bringing him to the present day could save him, but I doubt Rainbow is that creative, nor do they seem to like Star Trek that much, although I have spotted some references to the Trek franchise in World of Winx episode 3 (the Naoki episode). Yeah, pandering to the crowd and throwing in fanservice can hurt a story. It does seem to be the case here.
Yet it’s actually so simple. Darkar (Winx Club’s version of Sauron or even Melkor) is more evil than Valtor (representing Saruman). Iginio, why you not thinking? ??♂️
yeah and season 8’s trailer still hasn’t dropped
I don’t really care. I’m not dying to see it. ?
i can understand why given what we know
I wanna be optimistic about this season, but it’s hard. ?
yeah with a villain whose how returning makes no sense
Before I talk about Nex and Aisha/Layla, I wanna get rid of something which might be useful to some who are looking for news about Winx or other Rainbiw properties. We did talk about this before on unadinoi. The topic here is fake news.
Yesterday I have discovered the vk site of Winxclubrus. According to the admin there, Regal Academy won’t receive a third season because she speculates that it won’t…her reason? Regal Academy “flopped”. But I’ll come to that in a few sentences.
Earlier today, that very admin wrote a post about PaperCutz cutting all ties with Rainbow and thus not working on Regal Academy Volume 5. I asked several times about the sources and then after her telling me a dozen times that her post is “no rumor” and “it true”, she ignored me for over an hour, before coming back with a half-assed response about having talked to “the publisher” in a “private chat”. Seriously, it took the person around 80 minutes to come up with that lie. The best thing about it? I had to post a Twitter link TWICE -because she deleted it the first time- to PaperCutz’ recent Regal Academy Volume 3 promotion. If PaperCutz really wanted to break all ties with Rainbow, why would they talk about it to someone unknown to them? How would they communicate with that person when everybody at PaperCutz speaks English and the Winxclubrus admin doesn’t? And more importantly, why would they talk about business stuff with an unaffiliated person from Russia, especially when PaperCutz hasn’t even made ANY announcement about Regal Academy, save for the Volume 3 advertisement? I’m not falling for that lie. But to keep things peaceful, I just moved on. Then some Babybug fans -among other users- came into the comment section and started talking about “children”, “disinformation” and “attacking admins” (at least if my Google Translator is to be trusted). If that’s not enough, one of those Babybug fans later ranted about Regal Academy fans insulting Winx fans, although previous comments from other users talked about the opposite; Regal Academy fans getting INSULTED by Winx fans. Of course, that’s what Google translator says. But let’s assume Google was correct: Why am I quoted by that one Babybug fan? Why am I made responsible for what has happened weeks/months ago, especially when I don’t even KNOW the damn language and have previously never even tried typing it? Long story short, the “Winx vs Regal Academy/Regal Academy vs Winx” fan war is my fault because I asked for credible sources from the Winxclubrus admin. ? And I didn’t insult ONE person during the whole time. I was as friendly as I could be, which is not what I can say for the Russians. They didn’t even try to speak my language, save for the mentioned admin and another user. But that was it. I have to sit there and type like crazy into the translator.
Now back to the “flop” story. I talked to the Winxclubrus admin and tried to make it clear that Regal Academy is not a “flop”, to which she later into the discussion responded aggressively and with a laughing emoji. At first, everything was smooth, then she ran out of arguments and laughed at my response (thereby automatically showing she doesn’t wanna hear my arguments, nor does she care about a friendly discussion). Minutes later, she accuses me of being a “kid” who is “blocking” everybody that is disagreeing with me (although there is no blocking option on vk). Perhaps I should have called her a lying bitch at that point but I didn’t. Instead, I kept pressing her for sources claiming Rainbow wouldn’t continue the show, to which she did not respond again. Then the PaperCutz story happened.
What am I trying to say with my long comment? I’m trying to show three things:
#1: The admin there posts stuff based on SPECULATION, rumors or life, and if she does tell the truth, it has been already reported somewhere else. Therefore it’s not a credible news site.
#2: You can’t discuss anything with her without it all resulting in a mud fight. If you don’t agree with her and tell her she’s right with everything she claims, she gets mad at you and accuses you of being a “kid”. And don’t mention the word “sources” when she is around.
#3: This place is toxic. I haven’t even been there for 24 hours and I’m already done for. Vk.Winxclubrus should be avoided. Go to winx_srl, they seem to be friendly. But winxclubrus? AVOID it for your own safety.
[I have not proofread this comment so if there’s any mistake, pardon me]
Wow… ?
Yeah, I wonder about WinxClubRUS sometimes. Apparently, they get a lot of their “exclusives” by looking at freelancing hubs and general news sites. But they never tell you their sources because they wanna look like they are the source. And yeah, I can tell some of their news is made up. They’ve been wrong in the past, but they’re right so often (because of their stolen news) that people believe everything they say.
Yeah, that’s exactly the case with them. In terms of Regal Academy, for example, their news are fake. Rainbow has never stated if there will be a third season or not and I’m sure Iginio’s company would tell the fans if they cancelled the show, since Regal Academy does have an official Instagram account (but of course, the Winxclubrus admin knows it better ?) . PaperCutz also never said anything about Regal Academy Volume 4 and I looked at Google for information…”private chat with publisher” my butt!
Best advice is to ignore them and wait for someone like Michael’s WinxClub or winxclubepisodios.blogspot (they seem trustworthy enough to me) to report…or wait for Rainbow to throw out the news, which can take some months though.
I’m a fan of those edits, especially the first one. Not only is it so accurate -and also sad at the same time because of the fandom’s wrath- I have an affection for space and planets as well (thanks, Star Trek!). And I can honestly say; this is where I feel like I belong. I already talked about Vk.winxclubrus and the rest of vk is in a language I don’t understand, so I’m the foreigner. Instagram, deviant, Twitter and co. are toxic places where all the Winx haters meet up and organize themselves (and don’t get me started on the disgusting “sin” accounts about underage children from a show for little children). The forums have vanished. There isn’t a place to talk about Winx stuff. Even the wikia has become stricter in that regard.
But here it’s different. Unadinoi was cool and I loved visiting it from 2010 – 2015. Then I re-discovered the site and to my surprise, many people were gone. Maybe it was a good thing to close it down. I mean, it has become a shadow of itself and that’s a shame because it was an awesome site. I remember reading the “caption contests” and all the other stuff that was there. It was really fun in the early 10’s and perhaps I should have signed up back then and be active in a period where Winx was still loved.
Now this has becone the site I like to visit the most. Although we’re only half a dozen at best, I feel like you don’t get harassed here for liking a specific character, season, transformation, episode etc. And this is what we need.
I’m glad you feel that way! ?
Yeah, most of the other sites are pretty toxic, especially if you don’t agree with popular opinions. I haven’t run into a lot of outright Winx haters, but I believe you when you say they’re there. (My worst encounter with Winx haters happened in real life, not on the Internet. ?) I wanted Una di Noi Winx to be a welcoming blog for everyone, but I couldn’t handle all the pressure and loneliness I was feeling. There were things happening in real life, too, that contributed to that, but I didn’t feel like I could tell anyone. I’m sorry.
Here, I feel freer to just say what I wanna say. I still feel lonely sometimes, just because I wish there were more Aisha X Nex fans here. But I’m happy to have you, Knight, Nerdy, and any other regulars around. ?
Those people are assholes. Sooner or later they’ll get their punishment. Don’t hide your love for Winx Club because of some lowlife scum. I know it hurt you but they are dumbasses who don’t know what a good show looks like (I wonder what they watch…probably programming for 3 year olds). Don’t let their stupidity affect your love for Winx.
Yeah, the loneliness eats you up from the inside. I do can relate.
At least Nex and Layla have a home here. It’s a small step but it’s a step. Hopefully there
will be more fans of these two come season 8.
Sometimes I wish I had met Winx-haters in real life instead of the internet. But the topic “Winx Club” never came into a discussion or wasn’t relevant enough to discuss, so there’s that. And even if I dropped the name of the show, people just accepted that I was a fan and talked about something else. Seems like I have met normal, somewhat tolerant people. On the other hand, that was years ago, back when Winx Club still was loved by many, so it might be different today.
Anyhow, if you’re more happy here than on una, I’m happy for you as well. I just wish Donna came in here too. She seemed nice from what I read from her…and she loved to fight for the Winx (her being a Trekkie notwithstanding ?).
As for the loneliness; I know that feeling. If you have someone to talk to, do it. It will not solve the problem, but it eases the pain at least a little bit. We’re a small community but at least there are some fans here. Imagine if you were the only fan of the couple (or a TV show, movie, game, rock band etcetera). That would hurt…a lot.
But you’re not alone. We’re 4 people here and perhaps even more somewhere on this big planet. Maybe somebody is watching Winx Club season 6 or 7 right now and wishing they could share their love for Nex with other fans. I mean, I wasn’t active online until 2018. Who knows if there aren’t others who are like me (only reading articles and comments but not signing up anywhere)? And since there are over 7 billion humans on Earth, the possibility of finding some Nex-lovers isn’t that low. Maybe season 8 will even turn some of the haters into fans. It’s definitely possible.
And thank you for your kind words. ?
The incident I’m talking about happened when I made the stupid mistake of revealing to a lot of people that I’m a Winx fan. They made fun of me from then on. The good news is they were from out of town, so I didn’t have deal with it for long. I haven’t seen them in years.
Still, it was a painful experience. It bothered me for months afterwards. I wish I had kept my mouth shut. ?
Yeah, I am happier here. There are a few times I miss that blog, but the bad memories kill the nostalgia immediately. And yeah, Donna seemed like an interesting person. I wouldn’t mind seeing her again.
I don’t have a lot of people to talk to about Winx or my other interests. The Internet was where I escaped to find those people, and now I feel like I can’t escape from the Internet itself. ?
I don’t even wanna imagine what it would feel like if I really was the only Aisha X Nex fan in the whole fandom. I’m not exaggerating when I say the loneliness makes me feel like I’m suffocating. It actually does. I bet you understand. Loneliness, disappointment — they affect your whole body and mind. I feel that every day now. ?
But I’m glad you’re here. ? I hope other Aisha X Nex fans will find this blog as well, and I hope season eight will turn a lot more people into Aisha X Nex fans.
I’m not trying to knock on Rainbow or anything like that. It’s just that I already see some plot holes/continuity errors already, all of which could have been easily avoided had they actually thought about their story for another day or so. And it’s not like they didn’t have the time to think and develop season 8.
But maybe it will all make sense. Maybe Darkar is indeed back, pulling all the strings, while Valtor is a minor villain in the grand scheme of things…
Who -besides those working on the season- knows what explanation Rainbow comes up with for Valtor coming back to life? Let’s wait and see. Perhaps it’s all logical after all.
